VISION SUMMIT 2009-Theme "Social Business: Next Fall of Wall" at 7./8. November in Berlin
The VISION SUMMIT 2009 takes place at the 7./8. November in Berlin. The Theme will be “SOCIAL BUSINESS: NEXT FALL OF WALL”. Because our ideas are receiving a great echo worldwide, we will use this momentum and organize our yearly event, the VISION SUMMIT, parallel to the 20. anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, on the 9. November. Consequently we will ask: Which Wall must fall next? Besides Muhammad Yunus, many other leaders from politics, business and civil society will attend the Vision Summit and set jointly with the people new impulses: In the next 20 years, the wall of poverty must finally fall. VISION SUMMIT 2008 - Reports and information
The 2nd VISION SUMMIT on 1/2 November 2008 was dedicated to the topic of Social Business. It took place in the Henry Ford Building of the Free University of Berlin. During the Summit, Prof. Muhammad Yunus was available for intensive inputs, workshops, and questions. About 40 other, nationally and internationally renowned experts participated in the event. Approximately 10 international organisations acted as co-organizers beside the two main sponsors GENISIS Institute and Stiftung (Foundation) Entrepreneurship.

Foundation and vision
The novel format of the VISION SUMMIT as an international conference was created by Peter Spiegel in his then function as Secretary-General of the Global Economic Network. Since the foundation of GENISIS Institute in August 2008, the development of the VISION SUMMIT is being carried on by GENISIS Institute.
Parallel to the G8 Summit 2007, a „Summit of Visions“ took place in Germany for the first time, selecting and presenting the best “Concepts for the Future”. The VISION SUMMIT is exclusively focussed on solutions. The concepts chosen shall be visionary and feasible at the same time. Also, they shall be of genuine help in making decisions towards a systemically improved implementation of globalization.
