GENISIS holds workshop with European Young Leaders in Lisbon
From 4th through 7th of June 35 young leaders from politics, civil society and industry from 22 European countries met to discuss social cohesion from different perspectives.
Aim of the forum, organized by BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, was to bring together highly qualified young Europeans. "We are convinced that there is a lot of new and good to discover in cross-sectoral processes and that quality of life rises in our societies if especially the so-called leaders – whether working in enterprises, social institutions, public administration or holding a chair in a university – start looking beyond their own work environment more often and courageously", says Markus Hipp, Managing Director of the foundation.
The program consisted of workshops as well as field trips to social projects and social enterprises in and around Lisbon. Anne-Kathrin Kuhlemann presented the structure and product philosophy of the GENISIS Institute and discussed the correct way of addressing target customers with the participants. "It was very inspiring and stimulating to receive feedback on our marketing concept from completely unbiased creative minds", states Kuhlemann.
The BMW Foundation promotes the GENISIS Institute in its institutional development and considers the workshop as part of this promotion. The GENISIS management team thanks all participants of the workshop for the valuable input and is now full of zest for action to implement the suggestions and ideas provided.
